dap UK Ltd is proud to announce that their newly opened warehouse in Great Yarmouth is already receiving accolades from both customers and the industry sector.
The first exclusive contracts have now been signed with major importers for both the storage and UK distribution of their products and the Company scored and highly impressive 94% in the UK Warehousing Association’s initial audit. As a result of this, dap UK Limited has already been shortlisted for the UKWA’s 2018 award in the Best New Member Category which are taking place at the Dorchester Hotel on July 4th 2018.
The UKWA is seen as Britain’s leading trade organisation for the logistics sector with 700+ members and the awards recognise and reward excellence in the third party logistics sector,
A major consideration when designing the warehouse was its environmental efficiency and it features the latest technological advances such as solar power generation and charging points for electric vehicles. This was mentioned by the importers as a factors which considerably influenced the decision to award the contracts to dap UK Limited.
As part of its continued commitment to reducing its environmental impact, the company has also further developed its policy on renewables and, in addition to the adoption of solar energy wherever possible, it has also replaced all of its company cars with hybrid vehicles that can be charged on site, only uses electric forklift trucks and has adopted a stringent recycling policy for all paper and plastic waste.
