dap UK Limited are currently applying for Authorised Economic Operator status (AEO).
Announcing the decision, Clive Julian the owner and CEO of dap UK stated that: “Accreditation requires a rigorous assessment by HMRC which focuses on customs compliance and supply chain security measures. AEO status can only be granted to companies with a history of customs compliance. It ensures any customs declarations we complete are done correctly with our internal procedures and systems authorised by Customs. It also means our security measures have been assessed by specially trained officers to ensure clients cargo is safe at each stage of the supply chain”.
“There are a number of benefits that this status will bring such as faster processing of entries we transmit as well as priority treatment in the event of a Customs examination. It will also allow smoother flow of goods across international borders and the comprehensive security measures ensure the safety of both clients cargo and all the relevant information relating to the cargo. Since our road haulage services now push further East across Europe into Asia, and our reputation for handling cargo to remote and often war torn destinations grows, it is imperative that clients are reassured that we have done everything possible to ensure the safe and monitored transit of their goods”.
“AEO accreditation will underline our commitment to our clients and will strengthen our position within the market place”.
dap UK has awarded the management of the project to Miles Vartan Consultancy Ltd.
